It is a hard decision whether I should use my time to blog or to knit. Time is at a premium, and reading which used to be my passion has been relegated to ten minutes before bed. This week, I chose knitting. The first sock is almost finished and I expect to graft the toe later this evening if I work while I watch TV this evening. If only multi-tasking worked with blogging.
There doesn't seem to be any 40 inch size one circular needles available except through online or catalogue sales. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and put in an order. Wooden, straight cable needles are also impossible to find. I wonder if anyone in NYC has both. The problem is that after buying them I might never use them. Part of the stash!

I often choose knitting over the blog. :)
I learned how to do cable without a cable needle on Grumperina.com/knitblog. I'm not that experienced and it was pretty easy. That would eliminate having to buy a wooden cable needle.
